QinetiQ TO SPONSOR IMarEST’S MECSS 2017 CONFERENCE
QinetiQ is to be the Principal Sponsor of the Marine Electrical and Control Systems Safety Conference (MECSS 2017). The third conference in the series, being held in Glasgow on 22 and 23 November 2017, continues the theme of ‘Delivering integrated, dependable, safe and reliable systems’ and will focus on four key areas – prominent hazards, cyber security, whole system, and operational matters. The MECSS 2017 technical programme, is online at www.mecss.org.uk.Organised by FIGS Events Limited on behalf of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) MECSS 2017 is being held at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC) in Glasgow, with an Industrial Visit to the University’s Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC) open to all delegates the day before the official proceedings begin.

IMarEST’s learned society conferences are renowned for constructive and enjoyable networking events. The MECSS Conference Reception takes the form of a Civic Reception generously hosted by The City of Glasgow with special thanks to The Lord Provost and Glasgow City Council. This will be held on Wednesday 22 November at Glasgow City Chambers.
The Early Bird registration for MECSS 2017 (which is CPD approved by IMarEST) has been extended to Friday 27 October.
